We do not collect personal information

There are no accounts, sign-ups, comments or contact forms. Your answers and scores are never sent to our server.

Progress saved in your browser

To let you refresh or come back later, the game saves your progress in your browser's local storage: the puzzle, the expressions you submitted, your attempts, hints and timestamps. The keys start with number-code:v1: (daily and practice sessions) and number-code:practice-puzzle (the current practice puzzle). This data stays on your device and is removed when you clear your browser data. It does not sync across devices.

Sharing

The share button uses your device's share sheet or copies a text summary to your clipboard. The summary contains your grade, score, time and hints, never your expression. Nothing is shared unless you choose to.

Advertising and cookies

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent management tool before advertising cookies are used. Without consent, only non-personalised ads or limited ads that do not use cookies are shown.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may process technical information such as IP addresses and browser type in server logs to operate and secure the service.
